T(caps)he Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has
officially opened its registration portal for Ad hoc staff recruitment against 2023 general
election. The approved registration portal INECPRES is now available for everyone
who wishes to participate in conducting the 2023 election as ad hoc staff.
INEC made the announcement through its twitter page, as well as its official website. All eligible applicants are therefore invited to register for the various categories.
Below is everything you need to know about the INEC Adhoc Staff registration and how to apply.
Date of opening: September, 2022.
Closing Date: December 14, 2022.
Condition for Application
- Applicants for INEC Ad hoc staff must not be members of any political party.
- Applicant must not openly support any candidate taking part in the upcoming election.
- Applicant must live in Nigeria, and within the state he/she is applying for the job.
- Application is free for all Nigerians who qualify for any of the Adhoc Staff categories.
Qualification for Application
The required qualification to apply as INEC Ad hoc staff depends on the category of the INEC job. Staff on Grade Level 10-14 meet higher qualifications than serving corps members. The least required qualifications are students currently studying at Nigerian tertiary institutions with notable IT inclination.

How to Apply as INEC Ad hoc Staff | Step by step tips for INEC Adhoc Staff Application 2022/2023
1. Check the requirements and eligibility for application as given below. You are to properly review your eligibility before login to the application portal.
2. Choose the category you qualify to apply. The categories include Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO), Presiding Officer (PO), Assistant presiding officer (APO), Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH), and Registration Area Center (RAC) Manager.
3. Login to registration portal (for old applicants). For new applicants who do not have INEC account profile, click here to proceed.
4. Click on "Register" and follow the instructions.
5. Create a password and wait for automatic login. An application form will appear.
6. Fill the application form. The form has three sections including personal information, contact and Bank details sections.
7. Upload your passport photograph (not larger than 5MB).
8. Fill in your referees details. INEC will validate the information provided in the attestation box.
9. Submit the form.
10. Print your acknowledgement slip.
- Returning Applicants should enroll base on the appropriate category that currently applies to them. Also, as a returning applicant, you only need to login to your previous profile to apply.

1. INEC Adhoc Staff Recruitment for Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO)
Location: Nigeria
Requirements for INEC Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO) Application
Qualification: Applicant must be a public or civil servant on
Grade Level 10-14 (Priority given to qualified staff of NYSC/NOA/NIMC/NPC) or INEC
staff/Registration Area Officers who are not busy on official duties.

- Applicant must be a serving corps member or a former corps member who served not earlier than 2018 batch.
