The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the commencement of recruitment of indigenous staff to receive training for the state’s new automobile factory. The first batch of indigenous engineers would receive their training in Israel.
The state car assembly is a partnering company between Akwa
Ibom State Government and MIMSHAC, an automobile company that also partners
with an Israeli firm.
The state government in its statement made available to the
public stated that MIMSHAC is currently conducting practical interviews for
qualified engineers. The engineers would be further equipped with the necessary
skills required for car assemblage in the plant. The practical interviews took place
after the automobile engineers were put through the theoretical aspect of the
assessment process for the plant.
The CEO of MIMSHACK, Mr. Valentino Nnaemeka Okorie while in an interview with newsmen praised the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, for
his support for the establishment of the first automobile plant in the whole
Niger Delta region. He further reiterated the company’s plan to establish the
first fully-automated oil filtering manufacturing factory in Africa besides the
car assembling plant.
MIMSHACK is a conglomerate that has partners around the
world including Israel. Meanwhile, the Israeli partner of MIMSHAC, Mr. Ronen
Golan, told newsmen that the plant will commence operation by November 2022.
The company added that MIMSHAC’s partnership with Israel is to ensure the
