Video: Passengers Burnt to Death in Lagos Commercial Bus Accident At Gbagada

A commercial bus fire in Lagos has burnt about 7 passengers to death and at least five sustained injuries. The accident took place on Sunday at Iyana Oworo, close to the Third Mainland Bridge.

Video shows the bus burning bus in flame while a worried crow gathers around. Sahara reporters report that the deceased comprises two adult males, four females, and one child.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed that there were 14 passengers on the bus which had registration number KJA699GY. LASEMA also said that the driver of the vehicle had some burns.


The agency's permanent secretary said that among the injured, a male adult received first aid at the scene through the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), while three females were taken to Gbagada General Hospital.




Efforts are put in place to trace the identity of the victims while the injured receive treatments at the hospital. Also, the LASTMA officials reportedly have taken the burnt vehicle from the road to clear the way for commuters.
