UBA Releases List of Its Foundation's 2022 Essay Competition Finalists

The United Bank for Africa has released the list of its 2022 UBA Foundation's National Essay Competition finalists.

The result was released on Monday, November 7, however, the top 3 winners will be announced at the grand finale on Monday, November 14th.
 Of the 12 students on the list of finalists, three are from Akwa Ibom State while Enugu State boasts of two students.

About UBA Foundation's Essay Competition "The National Essay Competition is UBA's annual education initiative which aims to promote the reading culture and encourage healthy and intellectual competition amongst secondary school students in Nigeria and across Africa."  The competition for the 2022 season began on September 19 and the portal was to be closed on October, 14, but extended to October, 29.  Applicants were asked to submit their contact information, photographs, birth certificate, and school details, and upload their 750 words handwritten essay copies. Only Senior Secondary School Students took part in the writing competition.  The top three winners of the competition when announced on Monday would go home with a total of ten million Naira (N10.5m). The first-place winner is expected to win a 5 million Naira (N5m) scholarship grant.  The second and third top winners would receive N3 million and N2 million education grants, respectively. The winning students are to study at any African University of their choice, courtesy of UBA.
