The North African side got off to a great start and displayed the best of their skills. However, Croatian Josko Gvardiol opened the scoring line in the 7th minute of the game with a unique diving header from the centre of the box to the top left corner of the net. The score was assisted through an accurately planned headed pass by Ivan Perisic. The Atlas Lions hit back a few minutes later with a powerful close range header by Achraf Dari.

In the 41st minute of the macth, Croatia hit the net again when Mislav Orsic right footed shot from the left side of the box into the goal, leaving Morocco's gold keeper helpless. Assisted by Marko Livaja. Mislav's goal placed Croatia ahead of the game before the first half came to a close.
The second half of the match saw both teams coming back with all they had to win but it was not a moment for things to change. Morocco could not redeem the goal Croatia had ahead of them.
The match was an emotional one for both teams, as it marked the end of the tournament for both. Morocco, who had been hoping to secure a record third-place finish, were left disappointed after their final game.
It was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating chances throughout the 90 minutes. But it was Croatia who were able to capitalize on their chances and secure the win.
Morocco will now return home after a successful campaign in Qatar, having reached the knockout stages of the tournament for the first time in their history. Croatia, meanwhile, will be disappointed to have not made it to the final. Nonetheless, both teams have shown that they are among the best teams in the world having conquered the groups, the knockouts, the quarter finals and the semi-finals.
For Morocco, its defeat remains a blessing in disguise. Although they could not win the cup, they have shown that an African team can reach the semi-finals and that alone has been penned down into the books of time.
