
A Turkish sport presenter, Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, reported that both Christian Atsu, 31, and his Hatayspor Sporting Director Taner Savut were left under rubble after an quake that took place earlier today in Turkey and part of Syria.
In the latest update through it's twitter page, the football association tweeted.

We continue with our efforts to establish contact with officials of Hataspor and the Turkish Football Federation, considering the difficult situation.

Atsu is a Ghanaian Football international who have scored several goals for the country. He signedup for Chelsea FC in 2013. He has played for several clubs like Bournemouth and Everton, through loan.
In 2017, the winger signed a permanent , deal with New Castle before moving to his new club, Hatayspor, in Turkey.
Hatayspor is the main club in Hatay, one of the cities affected by a 7.5 quake that killed about 2000 people on Monday.
Several clubs, individuals and organizations including have tweeted their prayers for a successful and safe search for the Ghana international and others still missiong after the earthquake.
